Talaew Ornament

ตาแหลว [Ta-Laew] ] Made by bamboo in star pattern. In Lanna culture, Chaleo is called Talaew, from Nok Laew, which is a type of large bird. Comparing the sharp eye to the eye of a hawk, watching bad things. They are often used to keep out spirits and evil spirits, such as the Lua people putting ta-lae on the door of their house, while the Akha people put ta-lae on the door of their village to separate the human world from the spirit world.
